Therapy procedure

  • Diagnostic Imaging : Through imaging of the cancer - suspected area with ultrasound, CT, MTI, and radiography and biopsy of the suspected area for the diagnosis of cancer
  • Consultation before cancer treatment : Consultation with radiation treatment specialist for explanations on the cancer area, cancer progress, cancer treatment method, etc.
  • Construction of immobilization device : Construct Patient immobilization devices such as Head mask, chest cast to be used during radiation treatment.
  • Practice treatment : As rehearsal for radiation treatment, receive practice treatment under the supervision of the attending physician by setting the cancer treatment area, patient's treatment posture, and cancer treatment method.
  • Treatment Plan : The medical physicist calculates the detailed cancer treatment method using the computer simulation program for cancer treatment.  The attending physician authorizes the results of evaluation of optimization of the level of radiation on the  cancer area, cancer treatment energy, direction and number of directions, setting of the irradiation device, clinical treatment effect, etc.
  • Constructing patient compensator : Construct patient- exclusive collimator and compensator to minimize damage to normal tissues around the cancer area by irradiating the form of the cancer area.
  • Treatment rehearsal : Receive practice treatment in the actual treatment room using the same method.  By installing and applying the immobilization devices used during treatment such as patient Collimator, Multivane collimator, and compensator, verify that actual treatment will be smooth.
  • Verification of radiation exposure : To irradiate radiation for patient, it is measured on a phantom with similar material and shape to verify if it is identical with the treatment plan before treatment.
  • Treatment : Receive treatment using heavy particle for a set period of time according to the cancer area.
  • Follow-up consultation after cancer treatment : By getting PET, MRI imaging of the cancer treatment area, consult with the attending physician upon full recovery from cancer and treatment progress.
  • Complete treatment
